Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026 · Version 1.0
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Stegi ("Stegi", "we", "us"), a property-management service provided from the Republic of Cyprus at stegi.app. Contact: support@stegi.app. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Stegi provides software for landlords to manage rental property: records of properties, units, tenants and tenancies; a rent ledger with reminders; document generation; maintenance requests; expense tracking and financial reports; and a facility to request third-party maintenance professionals. Tenants may use limited parts of the Service (rent status, maintenance reporting) through private links shared by their landlord, without an account; these Terms apply to that use accordingly.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.
3. Your data and responsibilities
You retain all rights to the data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the Service. Where you record personal data about other people (for example tenants), you warrant that you are entitled to do so; for such data you act as data controller and we act as your processor, as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, including amounts recorded as paid or unpaid, and for complying with tenancy, tax, and data-protection law applicable to you.
4. Documents are templates, not advice
Generated documents (including lease agreements and reports) are convenience templates only. Stegi is not a law firm, accountancy, or tax adviser, and nothing in the Service constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. Have important documents reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on them.
5. Maintenance professionals (Stegi Pros)
Where the Service lets you request a maintenance professional, Stegi acts solely as an introducer between you and independent third-party contractors. Contractors are not our employees or agents. Any works, quotes, warranties, and payments are agreed directly between you and the contractor, and we are not a party to that contract. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of contractor work. We may remove contractors from the network at our discretion.
6. Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, including breaches of housing, tenancy, anti-discrimination, or data-protection law.
- No attempts to access other users' data, probe or overload the Service, or circumvent security measures.
- No abusive, fraudulent, or misleading content sent through the Service, including reminders and tenant communications.
- No resale or white-labelling of the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend accounts engaged in the above, with notice where reasonable.
7. Fees, subscriptions, and your withdrawal right
Core record-keeping is currently free of charge. If we introduce paid plans or transaction fees, prices and terms will be shown clearly before you commit, and material changes to pricing will be announced at least 30 days in advance — continued use of paid features after that notice constitutes acceptance; otherwise you may cancel with effect from the change date.
If you subscribe as a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU as transposed in Cyprus). By requesting immediate access to a paid digital service you acknowledge that, once the service has been fully performed, and with your express consent to immediate performance, the right of withdrawal is lost; where you withdraw during an ongoing subscription period, we refund the proportion of the fee corresponding to the unused period. To withdraw, email support@stegi.app with an unequivocal statement.
8. Availability, changes, and support
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, though we work to industry standards to maintain availability and to back up data. We may improve, modify, or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service as a whole we will give at least 60 days' notice, during which you can export your data from Settings. Support is provided by email on a reasonable-efforts basis.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for managing property you own or lawfully manage. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data caused by factors outside our reasonable control, or loss arising from decisions made in reliance on the Service (including missed payments, tenancy disputes, contractor works, or tax outcomes); and (b) our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of €100 and the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful processing of another person's data through the Service, except to the extent the claim results from our own breach.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion permanently erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate or suspend the Service for material breach with reasonable notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive termination (including 4, 5, 10, 11, and 14) survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect; the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service and delete your account before the change takes effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of the Republic of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers resident in another EU member state retain any protection afforded by the mandatory rules and courts of their country of residence. If you are a consumer, you may also contact the Cyprus Consumer Protection Service regarding disputes. We aim to resolve any complaint sent to support@stegi.app within 14 days.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours as part of a corporate reorganisation or sale, with notice to you. No delay in enforcing a right waives it.
